What is diatomaceous earth
Here is some interesting information about this mineral
Diatomaceous earth consists largely of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and is therefore very drying.
Diatomaceous earth particles are not smooth and round, but are usually riddled with many channels, holes and caves.
Diatomaceous earth is the only biogenic silica because it was created from fossilized diatoms.
